Uganda’s Loss Was Britain’s Gain!

Similar

In this compelling interview Graham Rowan meets a man who arrived in 1970’s Britain having been evicted by Ugandan dictator Idi Amin, and who went on to become a successful businessman and peer of the realm – Lord Dolar Popat.

He is the Prime Minister’s trade envoy to Uganda and Rwanda and believes that Africa offers enormous opportunity for a Brexit Britain seeking new trade partners. We should use aid money to train Africans and abandon our Bandaid approach – trade not aid!

He is also a great proponent of India, having helped several governments to foster closer integration with the Indian community. We should recognise that we made China the superpower she has now become so if we want to clip her wings we should look for alternative sources of manufactured goods and India would be a great place to start.
